Internet of Things Manager

The purpose of this role is daily management and development of a state-of-the-art IoT platform with which customers can improve their business without disruptions.

This role:

  • acts as primary point of contact to our business in relation to SchoellerAllibert SmartLink requests and issue resolution for our IoT platform.
  • serves as the primary liaison between Schoeller Allibert internal and external customers and platform provider.
  • captures agreed-upon customer objectives and processes, communicates these processes and their implications to technical and non-technical contributors to ensure that technology accurately meets customer users’ goals.


This job role participates in the following activities:

  • Facilitate process to gather/establish high level Customer requirements
  • Manage the IoT platform for all users and sensors and follows up on requests and issues
  • Identify and document customer strategies, objectives and drivers


  • Has in-depth knowledge of IoT solutions offered to our customers (for our Rental as well as our Manufacturing business;
  • Provides guidance and assistance in prioritizing technology needs; drives and participates in demand management process for customers’ requests
  • Provides technical and non-technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
  • Advocating for the customer, shepherds projects from conception to go live on the platform supporting the business project teams in issue resolution.
  • Escalation point for customer to help identify root cause issues and resolve chronic platform problems.
  • Skilled in Project Management, has ability to manage most projects and to prioritize competing interests across functions
  • Operates with minimal supervision

Expertise required

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience in the world of IoT
  • Consistent utilization of best practices and methodologies to ensure demand management

and planning, project management and support for customers are met

  • Problem solving competences.
  • Understanding of Customer functional need and operating environments.
  • Influence skills to gain commitment from others and foster collaboration
  • Process driven thinking
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent team player and ability to work on own initiative

International travel required (Up to 25% of time periodically)
