Importantly, Retenpal 2.0 can incorporate Schoeller Allibert’s RFID or SmartLink® sensor technologies for completely transparent, safe and secure asset management.
Hygienic, nestable and ideal for shipping shellfish and fish crates without having wet floors, Retenpal 2.0 is the next generation in sustainable, spill control solutions. Food safe, robust and manufactured to withstand extreme temperatures from -20°c to +40°c, it is the ultimate choice for industries including Food & Food Processing, Retail, Industrial Manufacturing, Pharma & Cosmetics, Chemicals and Pooling.
Announcing the launch of Retenpal 2.0 Ludo Gielen, CEO of Schoeller Allibert says:
“As a global player in supply chain operations and the market leader in reusable plastic packaging in Europe, Retenpal 2.0 represents the ultimate spill control solution, particularly suited for the transportation of fresh foods, such as meat and seafood which can often be preserved with ice.”
Ludo Gielen added: “Retenpal 2.0 fully reflects Schoeller Allibert’s commitment to the circular economy. The ease of storing and transporting goods, thanks to its great nesting ratio of 45%, optimizes loadings, reduces the number of trucks and their rotations while preserving product quality. With Retenpal 2.0 we succeed in promoting and safeguarding sustainability throughout the supply chain.”

We sum up a couple of the major advantages:
Food safe & control of dirty runoff
Food safe and manufactured to withstand extreme temperatures from -20°c to +40°C, each Retenpal 2.0 pallet can support up to 700kg and ensures any escaped liquid is contained. Specially designed with 56 holding cells and providing a retention capacity of up to 37 litres, the unique pallet limits wave effects during transit to prevent the soiling of trucks.
Improved robustness & hygiene
Constructed from a single piece of medium-density food-grade polyethylene and with a reinforced deck and feet, Retenpal 2.0 guarantees strength and rigidity. It has no hard-to-reach areas, making it easy to clean and meet the most stringent hygiene requirements.
The guarantee of efficient handling
Available in two base configurations, either with (ref. 1099.001) or without (ref. 1099.000) RFID recess, featuring standard dimensions and standardized fork pockets, the pallet is suitable for all conventional handling equipment. Four large marking areas offer the possibility of engraving and label areas on both long and short sides. This reinforced identification allows better management of the pallet parks.
Easily Track & Trace your pallets
With a variety of new track & trace options available only for Retenpal 2.0, this pallet solution allows any logistics operator to manage their asset pool easily and responds to consumer and supplier demand for full traceability.
Customers can choose to upgrade to our innovative SmartLink® technology that is controlled and managed via a secure cloud-based platform. Users can oversee assets wherever they are, 24 hours a day, while discreet sensors embedded within the pallet can transmit data, enabling businesses to monitor geolocation and movement at every stage of the transportation process.

External measurements: 1200 mm x 800 mm x 225 mm
Weight: 18 kg
Nested height: 125 mm
