Magnum Optimum 1210 CircuLine® Receives Gold at Environmental Packaging Awards
Schoeller Allibert is delighted to announce that its Magnum Optimum (MO) 1210 CircuLine® has been honored with the prestigious Gold prize for sustainable packaging in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
Judges at the Environmental Packaging Awards recognized the MO 1210 CircuLine® as the winner in the Personal Care category for its exceptional ability to help cosmetics and pharmaceutical suppliers minimize the use of virgin plastic.
Made from Schoeller Allibert's bespoke CircuLine® material, the award-winning product contains 30% to 100% recycled plastic. It is designed for a lifespan of over 10 years and is fully recyclable at the end of its useful life.
The Environmental Packaging Awards ceremony took place on June 13th at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham. The event, part of Packaging News' Environmental Packaging Summit, brought together industry experts to discuss sustainability issues affecting the packaging sector.
Nick James, Sales Director General and Emerging Markets (UK, Benelux, and North East Europe) at Schoeller Allibert, expressed his excitement about the recognition, stating that the MO 1210 CircuLine® has the potential to benefit cosmetics and pharmaceutical supply chains. Combining the CircuLine® product range with the Magnum Optimum design has resulted in a durable and sustainable solution that is ideal for repeated use.
The MO 1210 CircuLine® stands out not only as the strongest foldable large container in the market but also as a means to help suppliers reduce their dependence on virgin plastics. It offers substantial environmental benefits over single-use alternatives, particularly in light of the recent focus on eliminating plastic waste during World Environment Day.
Schoeller Allibert is committed to achieving 100% circularity by 2050, and the MO 1210 CircuLine® plays a vital role in reaching this goal. With its high recycled plastic content, the product brings Schoeller Allibert closer to establishing a fully circular supply chain. Through their buy-back program, the company facilitates a seamless process for cosmetics and pharmaceutical suppliers to reduce their carbon footprint.
The recognition received by the Magnum Optimum 1210 CircuLine® at the Environmental Packaging Awards highlights Schoeller Allibert's dedication to providing sustainable packaging solutions that contribute to a greener future for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. Schoeller Allibert continues to lead the way with its innovative and environmentally responsible approach to packaging solutions.
